Redundant Architecture A network that supports Internet services is only as good as its connection to the world. Our Data Center network runs
over completely redundant/fault tolerant infrastructure, starting with core routers from separate vendors, a
ring-protected Packet Over Sonet (POS) fiber network, and multiple, geographically diverse peering points in Atlanta
and Dallas.
Uninterrupted power is also critical to the delivery of high availability services. Power to the Data Center is delivered over two separate paths. In addition, a flywheel system provides power conditioning and short-term power back up, while in the event of a long-term outage, the load is automatically and seamlessly transferred to diesel generators that are capable of maintaining power for over a week using on-site fuel storage. |
