Broadband providers are facing the reality that they can no longer offer all-you-can-eat bandwidth to all their subscribers. Those days are gone. More of us are using more of our broadband connection. We’re watching more video on more devices. Some folks have dropped their traditional Pay TV and others are seriously considering doing the same–cutting the cord in favor of over-the-top (OTT) TV.

From handling network abuse daily, lately, I’ve noticed a rise in the number of password compromise issues that have surfaced. The majority of the password compromise issues are primarily due to users having weak passwords configured on their accounts. Weak passwords posed one of the biggest security breaches in 2012 for not only individual users, but large corporations and the governement as well.
