Backend Software Developer – Java (Alpharetta, GA)

ZCorum is seeking a senior level Backend Java Developer for a contract to permanent position. The Developer will be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining web applications relevant to broadband communications. The ideal candidate will be an expert in modern web application technologies capable of contributing heavily to the design and development of existing and greenfield projects.

The position requires strong technical skills working knowledge of the Access (not just limited to
DOCSIS) Specifications including the following technologies:

Key Technologies Used in Existing Projects:

      • Languages: Java, SQL
      • Common third party libraries: Google Guava, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Spring Web Services, Hibernate, SLF4J

Sales Executive (FTTx, Network Infrastructure, Broadband, Business Development

The Sales Executive will have the opportunity to step into a thriving, high-demand network infrastructure market that is expected to double in the next 15 years. This person will play a key role in expanding the company’s connectivity infrastructure nationwide, including fiber optic networks, smart city technology, and more.

The position requires strong technical skills working knowledge of the Access (not just limited to
DOCSIS) Specifications including the following technologies:

Focus: 

      • The successful candidate will primarily call on Municipalities and expand this business into the Electrical Co-Op, and Public / Private Broadband Operators
      • Sell from ZCorum’s Comprehensive Suite of Products as it pertains to new FTTX Construction or Network Expansion in rural markets
      • Work with ZCorum Project Management and Sales Engineering to conduct presentations, qualify, and explain the value that ZCorum brings to FTTx Construction Projects
      • Subject matter expert level thought leadership in FTTx Vendor Solutions, Design methods/practices and Construction practices (all phases) as it pertains to the Municipality, Utility, Electrical Co-op, and Public/Private Broadband Operators.
      • All sales activities related to account acquisition, retention, and growth
      • Market analysis, Lead generation, development, and management
      • Ownership and execution of annual account sales plan
      • Proactive and focused sales forecasting in accordance with established reporting cadence
      • Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly dashboards and reports, and other duties as assigned
      • Provide expertise to the pricing and proposal team to develop custom RFPs/RFQs
      • Prospect and close long-cycle sales leads within target markets and establish sales relationships
      • Collaborate with other sales and marketing team members to create sales forecasts and reports
      • Develop plans for customer acceptance and integration with existing networks
      • Demonstrate a proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales, service and gross margin goals for their assigned markets and/or territories along with a solid knowledge of a variety of telecommunications and networking products and the experience in selling these types of product lines to a local customer base.
      • Sale Representatives must customarily and regularly engage in work away from the company’s place of business
      • Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions
      • Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested
      • Perform other duties as assigned

Candidates must have:

        • 10+ years of telecom industry experience in sales and business development with broadband communities and projects.
        • Experience within the FTTx OSP Construction ecosystem.
        • Strong relationship-building skills for B2B long sales cycles.
        • Technical understanding of telecom FTTx network technologies, including:
        • FTTx networks
        • FTTx Construction Projects
        • Connectivity in rural areas
        • Network deployment and construction
        • Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical presentation skills
        • Comfortable working with high-level municipality and enterprise decision-makers.
        • Must be able to travel for business and projects develop/sales

Network Engineer (Alpharetta, GA)

ZCorum is a pioneer in providing managed services and award winning diagnostics solutions to Internet Providers across the globe. This is a direct hire position. This position is based in Alpharetta, GA, and requires the candidate be able to come into the office each day. Must be authorized to work in the U.S./Sponsorship is not available.

Knowledge in the Following Network Protocols:

      • BGP, OSFP, MPLS, multicast, IPV6, CGN, DHCP, TFTP, TOD, Docsis.
      • Working Knowledge with vendors systems include but not limited to Cisco, juniper, and/or Arris.
      • Design, Setup and Deploy service provider networks.
      • Experience in supporting ISP’s with such services as Fiber, Cable modem, DLS and Wireless offerings.
      • Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

      • ZCorum is seeking an Network Engineer who will be responsible for the use of applied technical knowledge and practical experience to resolve network issues. Looking for a motivated team-oriented and collaborative player that can get projects to completion as well as work independently. Excellent communication skills are expected as the role will require the ability to translate technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.
      • Coordinate and implement updates to network hardware, operating systems, and attached devices. This includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new network hardware and software.
      • Support daily network hardware and operating systems operations; this includes evaluation of system use monitoring response time, and serving as primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
      • Assist in research, design, technical review, and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice video and data communication networks.

Hardware Sales Representatives (Alpharetta, GA)

ZCorum is seeking a dynamic, consultative sales professional to sell broadband and communications equipment to tier-two and tier-three service providers such as independent telephone companies, cable companies, municipalities and wireless Internet service providers. This is primarily an inside sales position with limited travel.

Responsibilities include:

      • Coordinating and leading all aspects of the “sales cycle” including: prospecting, cold calling, following up on leads, setting appointments, creating needs assessments, ROI analysis, providing and presenting prospects with proposals and contracts, reading buying signals, handling objections, and closing the sale.
      • Facilitate with the team web-based presentations and information sessions, via GoToMeeting for prospects regarding ZCorum’s products and services.
      • Tracking sales activity with daily and weekly call reports, sales forecasts, prospect analyses, and territory analyses.

      • Prefer 2+ years’ experience and success in building, developing and prospecting in a business to business market, including lead generation, cold calling, moving the prospect through the consultative sales process and closing business.
      • The desirable candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Application and Network Infrastructure and will be familiar with all aspects of the network as well as developing technology trends. There is a very strong preference for application layer experience.
      • The ideal candidate will have experience of value-based selling and experience of working with ROI and TCO based proposals for customers.
      • Good negotiation and presentation skills.

The Hardware Sales Representative compensation package includes a base salary with uncapped commission. The base salary for this position is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
