The Kansas-based company is already finding hidden impairments with ZCorum’s PreEqualization Analyzer software.

Alpharetta, GA (December 4, 2015) – ZCorum, an industry leader in the deployment of managed diagnostics tools and software for broadband providers, announced today that Cunningham Telephone and Cable has successfully deployed ZCorum’s PreEqualization Analyzer software, a DOCSIS Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) tool.

Pre Equalization Analyzer is a PNM tool that identifies upstream impairments in the cable plant before subscriber services are impacted. It makes use of the pre-equalization data from cable modems in the field to show the approximate location and severity of upstream issues and whether there are multiple subscribers affected by a common impairment.

Cunningham decided to take advantage of a 30-day trial ZCorum offers and quickly discovered the power of PNM. “There have been a couple of instances already where we went back to a location we had previously been to and found a problem we couldn’t see before,” said Brent Cunningham, General Manager at Cunningham Telephone and Cable. “For example, one customer called back several times over the course of three months and we sent three different techs out to try to troubleshoot the issue. Once we had PreEqualization Analyzer, we were able to track down the problem and fix it.”

Cunningham signed on with ZCorum back in 2011 for TruVizion, ZCorum’s patented broadband diagnostics software, and has been using it ever since. Their positive experience with the software and ZCorum’s service led them to look at ZCorum’s PNM solution.
