PMA analyzes RxMER for every cable modem on a node to determine the optimal modulation profile for each OFDM and OFDMA subcarrier, as well as the optimal frequency for the PHY Link Channel (PLC). It then makes adjustments at the CMTS so your 3.1 cable modems will connect at the optimum profile. By implementing PMA you can immediately increase upstream and downstream capacity by up to 40% over the baseline configurations.
