PreEqualization Analyzer PNM
PreEqualization Analyzer is a web-based, DOCSIS Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) application that will change how you approach maintaining your cable plant. Rather than repeatedly rolling trucks in a reactive, trial and error search for the problem each time a customer calls, you can address issues proactively, before an issue is impacting your subscribers. PreEqualization Analyzer uses a methodology developed by CableLabs to analyze the pre-equalization data from the CPE on the cable network to determine which devices are being impacted by impairments and the approximate location of the fault. The data and mapping features in PreEqualization Analyzer help you quickly identify and resolve issues as part of your regular maintenance. You benefit from increased efficiency, reduced repair times, fewer unplanned outages, and an improved cable plant. And, that also means a better experience for your customers.

DOCSIS Profile Management Application (PMA)
PMA is an application for cable operators that will significantly boost the capacity of your DOCSIS 3.1 channels. PMA analyzes RxMER for every cable modem on a node to determine the optimal modulation profile for each OFDM and OFDMA subcarrier, as well as the optimal frequency for the PHY Link Channel (PLC). It then dynamically makes adjustments at the CMTS so your 3.1 cable modems will continue to connect at the optimum profile. In addition, as more 3.1 modems successfully connect to your OFDM/A channels, you will free up capacity on your SC-QAM channels. By implementing PMA you can immediately increase upstream and downstream capacity by up to 40% over the baseline configurations.

SpectraVizion
SpectraVizion is accessed from the PreEqualization Analyzer PMN suite. It is a web-based, remote spectrum analyzer application that automatically detects common downstream spectrum issues like Suck-outs, Roll-off, Tilt, Standing Waves, Adjacency, Resonant peaking and FM Noise. With SpectraVizion you don’t have to wait for your customers to call. It is a proactive, downstream spectrum monitoring and analysis tool that actively monitors the downstream by polling every cable modem and set-top box that supports full band capture. It takes a snapshot of the full spectrum for all video and data channels, identifies the devices being impacted by downstream faults and displays a list of those devices. With one click you can drill in to see the spectrum captured that day, and click again to see captures from previous days. You can also rescan the modem at any time to capture the current spectrum and see if anything has changed. There is also a feature that correlates the downstream spectrum from nearby modems to let you know which ones are being impacted by a common impairment. With SpectraVizion you can proactively address downstream issues and check spectrum before leaving the office, allowing you to send the right technician to the right place the first time.

Upstream Analyzer
Upstream Analyzer is a return path spectrum analyzer application that displays the upstream spectrum from your CMTS in real time from anywhere. Upstream Analyzer is also accessed through our PreEqualization Analyzer PNM tool, so it’s a 100% software-based hosted solution. There is no expensive, hardware-based upstream spectrum analyzer or headend equipment to buy, no cabling, no splitters or connectors to hassle with. You don’t need to make any changes in your combining plant or RF Switches like you would with an equipment-based solution. All you need is your CMTS and Upstream Analyzer and you can view the upstream spectrum from your CMTS for any node from wherever you happen to be, whether that’s at your desk, or in the field via our mobile app.

DOCSIS Provisioning of Fiber
As you strategically deploy fiber in certain areas, we may be able to help you activate and provision your fiber devices using your existing DOCSIS provisioning system. This way you put off the need to set up a second, full provisioning architecture for fiber. You eliminate the high capital and operational costs associated with deploying, managing and maintaining two separate provisioning systems. Instead, you can spend that time and money on the actual fiber deployment, including training your technicians on deploying and maintaining the fiber network, not training them on new provisioning architecture. Your CSR and Accounting functions will also remain unchanged. Let us know what fiber platform you are deploying and we will let you know how we can help. If you’re not sure what equipment you want to deploy, we can also help you make the best choice based on your situation.

Bandwidth Commander
ZCorum’s Bandwidth Commander gives you the ability to accurately track subscriber usage and apply net neutral bandwidth management policies that will reduce costs while providing opportunities for increased revenue. Bandwidth Commander uses IPDR data (Internet Protocol Detail Records) to collect usage from the CMTS so you can provide accurate usage reports to your subscribers. Additionally, Bandwidth Commander can keep your network congestion in check by continually keeping track of subscriber usage and network congestion. Bandwidth Commander can then dynamically apply fair-use policies on your upstream and downstream, based on the time of day, the congestion on your network, and the package the customer is subscribed to. Rather than all subscribers being throttled by network congestion caused by a few subscribers, you can implement net neutral network management policies that will provide a better experience for all subscribers.

Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT)
If you are growing your subscriber base, buying an IPv4 address to support every subscriber is not a cost-effective strategy, and you will need to provide a publically-routable IPv4 address to every subscriber as long as there is IPv4-only content available on the Internet. That will be the case for years to come. Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT) allows you to conserve your public IPv4 address space by oversubscribing each IPv4 address by 128:1 or more. ZCorum offers an affordable, software-based CGNAT solution that installs on standard, off-the-shelf hardware, so it scales easily and costs less than hardware-based solutions. And, with our flexible licensing model you can start out small, and grow as needed. We’ll help you size the hardware you will need based on your current and anticipated throughput, and we’ll review your network to help determine where the devices should reside.

CALEA Trusted Third Party (TTP) Services
CALEA is a federal mandate enforced by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that requires all broadband operators to assist law enforcement in executing electronic surveillance when presented with a valid court order. You must be prepared to quickly set up a live capture of the data and deliver it to the requesting law enforcement agency in a secure manner. The FCC recognized that the cost of setting up and maintaining the equipment and staff to appropriately respond to a CALEA request can be a substantial burden, so they allow the use of a Trusted Third Party (TTP) to assist you in the event you get a CALEA request. You can sign up for TTP services through ZCorum and know that you will have your CALEA compliance covered.
