Broadband Usage Analytics

Broadband Usage Analytics collects subscriber usage data from DOCSIS and Fiber networks, providing real time visibility into network and subscriber usage patterns and behavior. It identifies where you have network congestion, which subscribers are using the most bandwidth, who is exceeding their bandwidth quota, and future usage trends for your network and subscribers. The web-based dashboard and vendor agnostic data collection allows you to quickly and easily monitor bandwidth on your broadband network and more effectively plan for future network expansion. Reports showing key performance indicators can also be scheduled and regularly delivered to staff and management.

Congestion Manager for DOCSIS Networks

Congestion Manager identifies and tracks points of congestion in your network using the bandwidth usage information collected from Broadband Usage Analytics. You can clearly see network utilization in real time and drill down to the subscriber level, highlighting the impact that network congestion is having on the quality of service for your subscribers. In Congestion Manager you can create and enforce net neutral, fair-use policies that are dynamically applied when needed to moderate the bandwidth consumption from your highest bandwidth users, improving the experience for all of your subscribers. In addition, by efficiently managing your bandwidth resources you can reduce the need for new equipment, lines and node splits, while increasing revenue as subscribers migrate to plans that are more suited to their usage.

Marketing Insights

Marketing Insights provides a dashboard view of bandwidth use by your subscriber base on both fiber and DOCSIS networks. You can view total usage and usage per subscriber, and how that usage is distributed among your broadband packages. You can also see monthly and year-over-year usage trends, and the application will extrapolate the data to provide a usage forecast into the future for better broadband network planning. You can also use the information in Marketing Insights to quickly identify subscribers who’s bandwidth demands exceed their package speed, which would make them good candidates for a package upgrade.
