Venezuelan Fiber Operator, NetUno, chooses FiberVU to improve the operational efficiency of its rapidly expanding service areas.
Alpharetta, GA (March 3, 2025) – ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics, announced that NetUno is in the process of migrating its broadband subscribers to ZCorum’s FiberVU application. NetUno is a Venezuelan telecommunications company with a presence in nine states in the central and western regions of the country. The company provides internet access, TV streaming, radio streaming, IP telephony, data, and advertising services through its fiber optic networks, combined with FTTX, GPON, 10GPON, and Metrolan technologies. FiberVu is a full-featured and flexible Fiber Service Activation, Provisioning and Diagnostics platform offered by ZCorum and includes many features that simplify network operations.
Venezuela is still in the expansion phase of its FTTX fiber optic networks, and all operators are competing in the accelerated deployment of new networks. NetUno chose FiberVU for its ability to speed deployments and improve the operational efficiency of all NetUno service areas. FiberVU provides NetUno with agility in the commissioning and management of its broadband optical devices. It is compatible with the company’s GPON and 10GPON environments and with multiple OLT manufacturers for fiber optic networks. This allows NetUno to significantly simplify the activation of devices across all its service areas, while enabling more efficient management of subscribers and devices from a single interface.
NetUno will continue accelerating its fiber optic deployments and is likely to exceed four hundred thousand FiberVU licenses. The company can now support a rapidly expanding subscriber base without being constrained by any specific fiber vendor’s provisioning solution. NetUno will also be able to grow without being limited to any OLT manufacturer, easily share its networks with other companies, integrate networks from other providers into its management platform, and allow any of its customers to independently manage their services.
“The powerful features and flexibility that FiberVU offers allows NetUno to compete more effectively through faster deployment of fiber services, and more efficient management of those networks,” said Carlos Bustamante, Vice President of Strategic Technologies at ZCorum. “We look forward to supporting them as they continue to expand their fiber network infrastructure to better serve the people of Venezuela.”
ZCorum will showcase FiberVU next week at the Andina Link Smart Cities Expo in Cartagena, Colombia. For more information about FiberVU please visit ZCorum’s FiberVU page.
