The rapidly growing telecommunications provider is deploying ZCorum’s FiberVu application to improve operational efficiency across its Central American service area.

Alpharetta, GA (March 10, 2025) – ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics, announced that Cable Color has completed migrating their fiber broadband subscribers in Costa Rica and Panama to ZCorum’s FiberVU application. Cable Color is a prominent telecommunications provider headquartered in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, with operations in five Central American countries. FiberVu is a full-featured and flexible Fiber Service Activation, Provisioning and Diagnostics platform offered by ZCorum.

Cable Color is making use of FiberVU to streamline the deployment and management of its fiber broadband devices. FiberVU supports Cable Color’s GPON and EPON environments and is compatible with multiple fiber OLT manufacturers. This enables Cable Color to significantly simplify device activation across their service areas, while allowing them to manage subscribers and devices more efficiently, all within a single interface.

In addition to FiberVU’s support for multiple vendors, ZCorum’s willingness to undertake custom development for Cable Color’s specific operational needs set them apart from other OSS providers the company had considered. ZCorum developed numerous custom features within the FiberVU interface and the application’s Auto Configuration Server (ACS) that were tailored to Cable Color’s Network Management System (NMS) and billing platform. This provided a seamless integration with Cable Color’s current operations.

Cable Color can now support a rapidly expanding subscriber base without being constrained by any specific fiber vendor’s provisioning solution. They will begin migrating devices in El Salvador in the next few weeks and are continuing to expand deployments of FiberVU in Honduras. According to ZCorum, by the second quarter of this year Cable Color will have purchased a total of 200,000 FiberVU licenses.

“Cable Color’s decision to purchase FiberVU underscores our dedication to meeting the unique operational needs of our customers,” said Carlos Bustamante, Vice President of Strategic Technologies at ZCorum. “FiberVU will have a positive impact on Cable Color’s installation times and installation quality, empowering their commitment to efficiently meet the evolving demands of their subscribers. And we will be right there to support them as they continue to innovate and expand their fiber network infrastructure across multiple regions.”

ZCorum will showcase FiberVU next week at the Andina Link Smart Cities Expo in Cartagena, Colombia. For more information about FiberVU please visit ZCorum’s FiberVU page.
